Transcript of Biography on Jim Carrey

The reason I chose to research Jim Carrey for my biography assignment is because when I was seven or eight years old, he inspired me to become a comedian by watching his funny movies. His acting gave me ideas on how to be funny and tell jokes, to my family, my relatives, and maybe my friends. He has multiple strategies and techniques in the way he delivers his comedy. Some of his movies that I have seen are are The Mask (1994), Bruce Almighty (2003), Mr. Popper's Penguins (2011), and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004). But the movie that I like the most is The Mask. The reason why I like this movie the most is because of his facial expressions, the tone of his voice, and his movements. He is also a very very funny entertainer and always makes everyone laugh.
I mentioned earlier, some of the movies that I've watched. The Mask is my favourite because he was a funny insane cartoon character when he puts on the mask at night, and his eyeballs would get stuck on the pavement when he falls from a building, when the poice say "FREEZE!" he becomes frozen, literaly becomes frozen with ice all around him, his accents, and his expressions are hilarious.
-Moved to America, Los Angeles for a better chance in his career in 1980. There he started acting in small television series and movies. He gave unsuccessful auditions for the 1980-81 season of ‘NBC's Saturday Night Live.
-First spouse: Melissa Womer: Marriage: 28 Mar 1987, divorce: 2 May 1995.
- Second spouse: Lauren Holly: 23 September 1996, divorce: 29 July 1997.
-His entry in comedy was on June 1 1977.
-2 May 1984: He was next seen in a comedy film "Copper Mountain", followed by "All in Good Taste" and his first lead role was in a television series with NBC's ‘The Duck Factory’, in the year 1984.
-2 May 1994, he had a big success when he starred in the comedy ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective’. He was the title character in the film. He followed with the films The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber
-2 May 1995 Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, and later Batman Forever established Jim Carrey as a star.
- Jim had a child when he was married to Melissa Womer on September 6, 1987.
-The child's name is Jane Erin Carrey, she is married to Alex Santana.
- Jim's grandson was born on February 27 2010.

Funniest quote.
Maybe there is no actual place called hell. Maybe hell is just having to listen to our grandparents breathe through their noses when they're eating sandwiches.
Acting related quote
I praticed making faces in the mirror and it would drive my mother crazy. She used to scare me by saying that I was going to see the devil if I kept looking in the mirror. That fascinated me even more, of course.
