Performance drugs are used in all ages from middle- professional athletes.

PED have physical side effects of the following: acne, liver damage, baldness, and stunted growth of puberty.
when a male takes PED anabolic steroids could cause breast tissue development, shrinking of penis, reduction in sperm production. When a female takes PED, she could have deepening of voice, growth of hair on face, stomach, and upper back, abnormal menstrual cycles.

Two types of steroids
Anabolic- is an increase in testosterone. This is a tissue building type of drug.
androgenic- increase in skeletal mass and bone density. Has more of an increase muscling features.
Both can be injected or orally taken.
