Transcript of Marc Chagall

"He is a poet with the
wings of a painter." Marc Chagall lived through the hardships of both world wars. Because of this life and his Belarusian-Russian-French roots, he moved many times: from Vitebsk in Belarus, where he grew up, to traveling between St. Petersburg, Berlin and Paris — until he was forced to flee German-occupied France for the United States in 1941. 1887-1910 1910-1914 Marc Chagall artist, painter,

For Body: PT Sans (also known as ПТ Санс in Russian) is a free/libre sans-serif font created by ParaType. It was designed to support all the different variations of Cyrillic script used by the minority languages of Russia. Choose it because Marc is know as a Russian Artist. Color Harmony: Accent Love, Marrige,
Best Life Period Getting old, Late years Young, learning,
vivid War period,
wife's death Design Concept: Chagall's work was dominated by historical changes (Russian revolution, world war I, II) and the situations of his personal life (marriage, wife's death, remarriage). He travelled out of his own desire in the early years and later on was forced to travel from Paris to USA and back to Paris, which resulted in changes to his lifestyle and artistic style. I have tried to capture this sense of movement and changing styles by including colors in the timeline, which indicate these changes. I also created the atmosphere by combining historical events and personal events that contributed to his ever-changing style. Prezi can do a great job to animate the place change and create surprise slides by hiding them deep in the presentation. I hide his arkwoks in the famous "above the town" painting to create surprises slides and the cover is like a post card. All the background color used is picked from that painting since Marc Chagall is the master of understanding what color really is. Design Concept: Thanks for Watching Mar 14 2013
