Michael Phelps shows courage
by entering the olympics and to
swim all of his races even though he was the youngest male. This needs lots of courage
because there is many many
people who will be entering the olympics and who will be racing against Michael.
Michael shows initiative by practicing for 4 years without being told to. This means that he wants to swim and doesn't have to be told to go in the pool and practice everyday.
Michael Phelps showed dedication by giving up lots of things just to go and practice in the pool for hours and hours. Michael was the youngest male to break 5 individual world records at one meet. Michael didn't give up on a race and he tried his best.
Overall I think that Michael Phelps is an amazing swimmer. Michael Phelps never gives up on anything and always tries his best to accomplish any goal. He is a hero to me and when I grow up my goal is to be as fast as him at swimming or even faster.
