Five Main Factors of this Crisis
1. High rate of poverty
2.overcrowding
3. poor housing conditions
4.polluted water/ unsafe water resources
5. unhealthy disposal of waste
no sanitation
many diarrheal infections (water related diseases)
found high levels of arsenic in ground water
have to resort to pond and ditches for water
a lot of bacteria in those sources
urban population increasing to fast
not enough space
resort to slums
to many people in one area
causes many diseases/poor health

Bangladesh Capital is Dhaka and it is located almost in the heart of Bangladesh
water scarcity
affecting both rural and urban settlements
have made progress in supplying water
many problems remaining
found arsenic in ground water
many wells are contaminated
Recommendations
1. change government policies (REGULATE)
2. control the waste
3. Find new safe sources of water
4. Regulate the urban population
Statistical Information
-40%of the population lives below the poverty line

-Over 7000 children die due to diarrhea and water-related diseases every year

-Over 25 million people in Bangladesh lack access to an improved water source

-the population in Bangladesh is 154.7 million

-There is 84% more improved water sources in Bangladesh
