How technology has led to moral decay in societies
design by Dóri Sirály for Prezi
People have become more obsessed and into their phones, computers, and social media that they've completely forgotten the outside world and the community around them.
Most all age groups are affected but teenagers and young adults are the ones normally affected the most because of how much they are associated with social media and how much of our work is done on our technology.
What is moral decay in societies, and how has technology
caused it?
What it looks like
What age groups are most affected?
How long has this been going on?
This is has been going on since the dawn of MySpace. After MySpace, there was Facebook, then Twitter, Instagram, and Snap chat. That doesn't even begin to mention the amount of gaming apps there are. Ever since mobile smart phones came out it has gotten so much worse. Everyone has started texting each other when they are 10 feet away rather than just talking to them. So this has been going on for quite some time now.
What kinds of technology is causing this?
Most of the time this is involving smartphones, such as iPhones, Samsung galaxy, ect. This is happening on smartphones most of the time because of the apps you can get on them and you don't have to have wifi all the time as you do with computers or tablets.
The Unabomber
His real name is Ted Kaczynski. The reason he is called a unabomber is because he mailed bombs around to universities and airlines. He made homemade bombs. He killed 3 people and injured 23 innocent civilians. This was over a 20 year period. The FBI arrested him in 1996. He also went to Harvard for collage.

What this does to us

This can make us to be less focused to our surroundings. We don't want to do anything else besides electronics. We also get lazy and don't go outside. We are on our electronics all the time.
