WHO IS UP FOR AN ADVENTURE?
Transcript of WHO IS UP FOR AN ADVENTURE?
WE BOTH HAVE THE SAME DIFFERENCES
The world has changed and so the way people think and act, now these inhabitants must be aware not only of their own form of behavior, but of too many others. Round the corner you can find representative elements from the other side of the planet; features related to habits, etiquette, customs, social behavior or just simple ways of addressing new people.
How important is to identify cultures, how worthy it might be to belong to a society where you could express all your emotions without the threat of being discriminated. This is the type of communities that are emerging as a consequence of the opening of the world to the technology, the economy and knowledge.
For those reasons above, schools have big challenges among those changes, firstly, to create citizens of the world, it means to respect and understand many other ways of living , and secondly, the task to make pupils use intercultural competences skillfully.
To accomplish those goals, we intent to elaborate a project concerning with aspects related to culture, intercultural, competences, English language and mainly to go further in the recognition of the other as part of my space with the same differences.
Your mission :
In this two months journey that you are going to make you have to gather information about the following aspects:
-Do and dont`s related to cultural aspects.
The countries you have to visit
You have to start visiting Colombia, later go to USA , France, Egypt, China and Australia, and once you finish you have to come back to Colombia to prepare a presentation based on your journey.

2. To understand why people do what they do.
3. To identify what makes me different to others.
4. To close the paths that lead to segregation.
5. To start being part of a world with respect to the differences.

This project is designed to be developed in a period of two months.
Students must start their adventure and soon as possible to accomplish the different tasks successfully.
The winner of the race is NOT the one who arrives first, but the one who makes the best presentation of their experience visiting those six countries in a very creative way, presenting the fulfillment of the different tasks proposed. They can make posters, charts or brochures.
