This is David Thompson Who is David Thompson? David Thompson was a
famous canadian and american
explorer. he was also a fur trader
and map maker of western north
America. In the green is what he mapped David Thompson started working
for the Hudson Bay when he was the age of 14
and he also worked for the North West Company
a few years later The native people called him
"koo-koo-sint" which means
"stargazer" because he used
the stars to guide him to make
maps Did David Thompson Have a Family? He got married to a 14 year
old girl named Charlotte Small
at the age of 30 He also had 13 children with
Charlotte Small and he used to
bring his older children along
on his adventures His kids names were Fanny, Samuel,
Emma, John, Joshua, Henry, Charlotte,
Elizabeth, William, Thomas, George,
Mary, and Eliza David Thompson's parents were
David and Anne Thompson When David Thompson was the
age of 2, his father died and his
mother put him into a school for
mathematics, astronomy,
geography, navigation, and algebra When he was 14, he was shipped over
seas to become an apprentice for the Hudson bay company
and after that, he never saw his mother or England again Did you know that Lewis

Westminster, England on
April 30, 1770 and died on
