I scaled the ratio for one serving up to 30 servings. i cross multiplied the problem then made a one step equation to find the value of x -- the new portions for the ingredients if the servings is 30 people.
I found the unit rate of the original recipe first. Then, I set up an equivalent equation for 30 people. I cross multiplied and made a one step equation so i could find the new amount of ingredients for 30 people.
