PORN Should porn become illegal? Background: Porn has been legal beginning in 1969 and many have been protesting to illegalize it since. Why do so many people oppose porn? It is immoral. Porn has harmful effects on society Porn is addictive. Porn is sexist. In conclusion... Porn is generally viewed alone and it takes away the intimacy from a man and woman.
Porn is adulterous and is a form of cheating.
Watching a woman with lust in mind is a sin. It degrades women into mere sex objects.
The female anatomy is not portrayed realistically in porn. Watching porn causes an increase in sexual abuse, rape, and domestic violence.
Porn causes viewers to feel shameful and guilty about themselves. Watching porn can lead to addiction that interferes with everyday life. They become dependent on watching porn and can't stop. This affects their social behavior and relationships. Porn does not cause any real harm to the viewer or society. Those who think that porn is cheating or against their beliefs are free to avoid porn by all means, however they should not impose their opinions who think otherwise. Porn should be kept legal. By Anna Xiao Intimacy between two people is a personal belief and while it may be considered the “social norm”, it should not be imposed on those who consider otherwise if it is harmless.
Whether porn is cheating or not is a personal opinion.
Watching a woman with sexual thoughts does not harm anyone. However... Definition of porn: an explicit portrayal of sexual subject matter
In the US, it is approximately a $2.84 billion industry
Associating with porn in North Korea is punishable by death
Roughly 70% of men and 31% of women watch porn
The oldest surviving erotic depictions were cave paintings and have dated back more than 7,000 years ago
On the contrary... Many feminists argue that porn is in fact a form of sexual freedom.
Porn does not significantly influence people's perception of reality. So far, there is no conclusive evidence that supports a correlation between sex abuse, rape, domestic violence or any other crime.
There is no intrinsic factor of porn that makes people feel shame or guilt. Porn is not addictive. Porn addiction is not classified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Many of these so-called addictions are simply people who enjoy porn so they watch it regularly. Works Cited Works Cited Diamond, Milton. "The Effects of Pornography: An International Perspective."
