Where it is found
There are many places where this substance is not found. It is NOT found naturally in the body, it is NOT found in personal care products, it is NOT used in pesticides, NOT found in carbonated drinks, and it is NOT used as an acid in optometry.
Artemisinin is a chiral molecule with seven chiral centers. this means Artemisinin could have 128 different stereoisomers.
Artemisinin is primarily used as an antimalarial drug, and because of this it has anti inflammatory properties. However,there has also been studies into how it also targets iron cells to treat cancer in animals.
Artemisinin is not an anthestetic, nor an alkaloid. It has no addictive properites in small doses and not known to be toxic. however in large doses, there are cardiovascuar disturbances.
Where is it actually found
Artemisinin is a natural drug derived from the green plant Artemisia annua but is converted into a white powdery substance or white pills for medicinal use.
