Scientific Method What is the scientific method? It is a process that is used to find answers to questions about the world around us. Step 1: Make an observation Example: I saw plants growing. Step 2: Ask a question Example: Do plants need water to grow? Step 3: Form a hypothesis Wait...What is a hypothesis? An educated guess. Example: I think plants need water to live. Step 4: Conduct an Experiment Example: I test two identical plants.
They have the same soil, the same amount
of sun, but...
