THE TUAREG TRIBE'S CLOTHING
ROBES
The tribes in the Sahara desert wear long flowing robes that protect the skin and allow air to reach the body. The clothes are loose fitting to prevent humans from dehydrating.
Veil and Headgear
Headgear protects the head from the sun and the veil keeps sand out from the face and mouth.
The clothes keep them warm at night and in winter. Most of the clothes are made up of cotton
THEY
ALSO TRY TO LOOK FOR WILDLIFE
WHERE EVER THERE IS WILDLIFE, THERE IS PROBABLY A SOURCE OF WATER NEARBY.
THE TRIBES TRY TO LOOK FOR WATER AROUND AND UNDER ROCKS AND THEY ALSO TRY TO LOOK FOR DEW.
THE TRIBES LOOK FOR CACTUS. SOME OF THE CACTUS IN THE DESERT ARE EDIBLE AND CONTAIN WATER.
SOME OF THE CACTI IN THE SAHARA DESERT CAN BE EATEN. FOR EXAMPLE THE BARREL CACTUS CAN BE EATEN.
NEAR THE OASIS THERE ARE PALM TREES AND FRUITS SUCH AS MELONS AND DATES.
THEY
TRY TO FIND THE OASIS
THE TRIBES LIVE IN MUD HOUSES. SOME OF THE TENTS ARE ALSO MADE OUT OF GOAT HAIR. SOME PEOPLE TAKE PORTABLE HOMES WITH THEM SINCE THEY MOVE PLACE TO PLACE
THE HOUSES THEY LIVE IN PROTECT THEM FROM THE HEAT. THE HOUSES ARE ALSO WATER PROOF JUST IN CASE IT RAINS.
THERE ARE ALSO ANIMALS LIKE GAZELLES, BIRDS AND CAMELS THAT THE TRIBES CAN EAT.
THE TRIBES THAT LIVE IN THE SAHARA DESERT ARE TUAREG AND THE BEDOUIN. THE TUAREG ARE PATROLISTS AND TRADERS.
PATROLISTS
PATROLSTS ARE PEOPLE WHO MOVE FROM AREA TO AREA RELYING ON THE THINGS THEY NEED. THEY ARE ALSO HUNTERS AND THEY ALSO GROW CEREAL CROPS
TRADERS
TRADERS ARE MERCHANTS THAT SELL CAMELS, DONKEYS, MULES AND YAKS. THEY GIVE GOODS TO THE TOWN
BEDOUIN TRIBE
THE BEDOUIN TRIBE WORK AS CAMEL RIDERS, RAISERS,MERCHANTS AND ENTERTAINERS.
