EL YESO
FICHA TÉCNICA DE CAL HIDRATADA

NOMBRE COMERCIAL DEL PRODUCTO: SUPER CAL 200-B

DESCRIPCIÓN:
La Súper Cal 200-B, es una Cal Hidratada o Hidróxido de Calcio, que se obtiene
como resultado del proceso de hidratación de la Cal Viva. A la Cal Viva se añade
exactamente la cantidad necesaria de agua para que se realice la reacción de
hidratación hasta el final.

Es un polvo de color blanco que puede tener una ligera tonalidad crema, de alta
finura y muy liviana.

FORMULA QUÍMICA:
Ca(OH)2

PRESENTACIÓN:
Sacos laminados de polipropileno de 25 Kg.

USO:
En el encalado y desinfección de piscinas camaroneras. En el tratamiento de pozos
sépticos y alcantarillas. Conjuntamente con Carbonato de calcio fino, en la
neutralización de suelos agrícolas ácidos (como regulador y estabilizador de PH del
suelo agrícola). Como desinfectante en las explotaciones avícolas, porcinas,
cuniculas y otros (abonos orgánicos). En la construcción: 1 cal + 1cemento + 3
arena + agua necesaria = pasta plástica para pegado de bloques, ladrillos, enlucidos.

Con relación al medio ambiente

El proceso de extraer yeso del suelo puede causar degradación ambiental.

La falta de roca o vegetación conduce a la erosión del suelo y provoca hundimientos y deslizamientos de tierra.


El yeso expuesto se disuelve fácilmente en la lluvia y deja huecos que contribuyen a la erosión y suponen un peligro físico.

Las fábricas de cal tienen sectores de producción cuyos niveles de ruido son considerables.

La cantidad de gas de escape es mucho menor que en las fábricas de cemento, dado el tamaño de la instalación y las temperaturas de cocción mucho más bajas requeridas por el proceso.

PRECAUCIONES:
La cal es un producto muy fino y cáustico, debe evitarse el contacto directo con la
piel y especialmente con los ojos, no se debe ingerir.

MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD:

PREVENTIVAS.-
- En el manipuleo del producto se debe usar implemento
de seguridad personal: mascarillas para polvo fino,
lentes, guantes de cuero, delantal apropiado.

CORRECTIVAS:
- En caso de contacto prolongado con la piel se debe lavar
con agua y jabón y luego aplicar crema, para evitar su
resecamiento.
- En caso de contacto con los ojos, lavar inmediatamente
con abundante agua y concurrir al médico.
- En caso de ingestión, acudir inmediatamente al médico.

ALMACENAMIENTO:
El producto debe almacenarse en lugar seco y aereado, en rumas trabadas sobre
paletts de máximo 20 sacos de altura, para evitar derrumbes de las rumas y
demasiada presión en las filas inferiores.
El producto y el envase permanece inalterable hasta 3 meses de almacenado, pasado
este tiempo el producto y especialmente el envase comienza a deteriorarse.

Aproximadamente 150 Kg de coque es quemado para producir una tonelada de cal viva.


Aproximadamente 2 toneladas de piedras de cal son necesarias para producir una simple tonelada de cal viva, mientras que 0.8 toneladas de cal viva son necesarias para producir una tonelada de cal hidratada.
