The Face on the Milk Carton

Cooney Janie Johnson Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Reeve Characters Setting Plot Janie was eating lunch one day at school and saw a picture of her on a milk carton from when she was 3 years old. She went home and looked for her birth certificate and couldn't find it. She realized there are no pictures of her from when she was little. She finds a trunk in the attic with a picture of a girl named Hannah and she also found the dress the girl on the milk carton was wearing. She tries to find her real family. Climax Then finally Janie's parents tell her that Hannah was their daughter and when Hannah turned 16 she went off and joined a cult. She came back one day and told Mr. and Mrs. Johnson
that she had Hannah and thought it would be unfair for her daughter to grow up with the cult and asked Mr. and Mrs. Johnson to take care of Janie. but that still didn't explain the Milk Carton. Falling Action Janie and her friend Reeve skip school one day and travel to New Jersey to the house of the family with the missing daughter. They pass the house and watch as a boy and two younger twin girls walk in the house. They all have the same red hair as Janie and they look a lot like her. Resolution Janie was born Jennie Springs to the Springs family in New Jersey. One day when she was three, her mom took her shopping in the mall and her mom turned around for a second and when she looked back Jennie was gone. Hannah, the Johnson's daughter, was on her way home to visit her parents coming home from the cult. She was lonely and took Janie and when she got home she told her parents that Janie was her daughter and asked them to take care of her.
