Transcript of Picasso Monsters
Choose a head shape and trace onto two different coloured papers
Cut them out, put one aside
Begin by drawing a forehead down the middle of one head
Add a BIG nose and a chin
Cut along the line and set aside the scrap piece
Glue the cut out piece to the other head shape
Your Monster's Head
Use the scrap paper to make a neck
Cut out and glue the top part of the neck to the back of the head
Get 2 squares of white paper
On one paper draw an almond shape
On the next paper draw a pie shape
Cut out both shapes
Glue onto monster's head, one on each side somewhere above the nose
Use two small coloured papers for eyes
Draw a circle on half the paper and an oval on the other half
Cut them out and glue to the white part of the eyes
Making the Mouth
Get one black and one coloured small squares of paper
Draw a large potatoe shape on the black paper and cut it out
Glue it to the coloured square of paper and cut lips around the black part of the mouth
Glue to monster's head
Get one strip of white paper
Cut teeth for mouth out of strip of paper
Glue teeth to inside edge of mouth
Get 2 small squares of coloured paper
Draw a shape on them, can be a circle, triangle, square...
cut out shape and glue on the head for cheeks
Get a paper to make a shirt for your monster
Draw a HUGE semi-circle from the bottom to top of the page
Cut out shoulders
Put Your Monster Together
Get a large piece of coloured paper and write your name on the back
Glue the shoulders to the bottom of the front of the page
Next, glue the head and neck of your monster to its shoulders, make sure they touch!
Outline your monster in permanent marker
Decorate your monster and the background
Use markers, pompoms, pipe cleaners, glitter glue, and more!
You can add a hat, ghosts, bats, planets, horns... be creative!

He was born in Spain in 1881 and died in France in 1973 at the age of 92!!
He created over 22,000 works of art in a variety of mediums, including sculpture, ceramics, mosaics, stage design and graphic arts
He enjoyed exploring different ways of creating art, especially abstract pieces
He is still a popular artist and continues to influence current artists work
