-Women were very conservative during the Civil War. -Many of their dresses had collars around the neck and some even had it around the wrists. By: Mikala Awde Women's Fashion of the Civil War Hair -Women wore their hair with accessories. Face -"Face paints." From Head to Toe -Women's wardrobes depended on how much money they had. -How did they get dressed in the morning? -Loose hair, fly-aways, and frizzy hair were not worn by a well-dress lady. -The wear and part of their hair. -Headdresses/bonnets/large hats. -Pale complexions.
