Cancer care, research, and education The Results? Our goal, and the goal of the coalition, is to increase awareness of smoke-free initiatives in parks throughout Western New York. Our materials will help bring new parks and municipalities on board in eliminating smoking and the litter it causes from the places where citizens want to enjoy their time. Current project is spreading smoke-free initiatives in parks across Western New York. Citizens in communities that have already adopted smoke-free initiatives Two Audiences Citizens in communities that have yet to adopt smoke free initiatives Our Suggestions Utilize social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, to help spread messages
Create a video educating the public about tobacco smoke & litter
Sponsor an event in a smoke-free park to raise awareness of the initiative throughout the community
Reach out to sports teams & recreation programs in parks for support
