U3L1 Gustar Review Of course you remember that gustar can be used to describe something you like to do: A mí me gusta bailar. A tí te gusta andar en patineta. A ellos les gusta dibujar. Gustar + nouns You can also use gustar to talk about things (nouns) that you like. A Señor Kuglich le gustan los gatos. A nosotros nos gustan las papas fritas. A ellas les gusta el pan tostado. WARNING! The form of gustar that you use will be singular or plural based on the noun that follows it. gusta gustan ...and you also remember that gustar literally means "to be pleasing to."
Because of this, you will use
indirect object pronouns
to indicate who likes what. (a mí) me
(a ti) te
(a él, ella, usted) le (a nosotros) nos
(a vosotros) os
(a ellos, ellas, ustedes) les Using the food vocabulary you have learned this week, turn to a classmate near you and tell him/her one food that you like. ¡Vamos a practicar! Now, write a sentence indicating what your classmate just told you. Be sure your classmate's name appears in the sentence. Do the same thing with a different classmate near you... and a different vocabulary word. Try to use a noun from a previous unit! Asking Questions with Gustar ¿Qué? means what?
¿Por qué? means why?
¿Quién/quiénes? means who? What do you think these questions are asking? ¿A quién le gustan los refrescos?
¿Por qué te gusta el sushi?
¿Qué comida les gusta por la mañana? Traduzcan estas frases al español Más práctica A nosotras ________ ______________ las manzanas. ¿A quién _______ _________________ la leche de chocolate? ¿Qué ____________ ______________ más, mi amigo--el almuerzo o el desayuno? ¡A mí ___________ ________________ las uvas! Why do you like ham and cheese sandwiches?
