“Her face seams slowly sinking, wasting, crumbling like pastries.”
It’s a Simile!!!!You can tell from the use of like in the phrase “Crumbling like Pastries” He means that she is slowly changing and doesn’t realize it. Songs with similes and Metaphors “You shoot me down, but I wont fall, I am titanium.” David Guetta- Titanium It's a Metaphor!!!!
You can tell by the usage of a comparison with out the words “like” or “as”. He means that he is strong and will not be broken. “Lost in the crowd and I’m hungry like a wolf.” Duran Duran- Hungry like a wolf Simile!!!!
You can tell because he is comparing using the word “like”. He means that he's like a wolf tracking his prey, that he'll find you no matter where you hide. “As we soar walls, every siren is a symphony
And every tear's a waterfall.” Coldplay-Every teardrop is a waterfall “Like the dead sea, you told me I was like the
dead sea.” Lumineers- Dead sea It's a Simile!!!!
You can tell from the use of “like” in the comparison. They mean that she never falls when he’s around because he protects her. The End
