BY:Emma Adkins SPARTA HISTORY The Spartans wanted to attain physical courage, strength, and bravery in war. Spartans were very loyal to their polis. THREE CHARACTERISTICS THAT ALL SPARTANS HAD SPARTAN ROLES Boys left home at age seven. Men lived in military camps even though married until age thirty. Participated in athletic contest. Women participated in athletic contest. Sparta was considered as a " closed polis because, Spartans were not allowed to travel and were not allowed to bring new ideas and ways of life. The problem with slaves was that they were out number they also had slave revolts. DAILY LIFE IN ANCIENT GREECE Boys were treated harshly so that the would become brave soldiers. They were taught to lie, cheat, and steal but not to get caught. All females were trained in sisterhood so they could have strong young. Spartans would not allow themselves to have pleasures in life. Sparta is located on a southern peninsula called Pelopomisos. All Spartans had athletics in their life male or female. Males were expected to obey with out question.
