What is a risk? BY: Peter Larkin & Syd Ponder Taking
Risks A risk is a situation you do not know what the outcome will be Quote From Mark Twain "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover" This means that when you get older, you will regret the things that you didn't do, so at a young age you should not be in fear of risks and you should Explore, Dream, and Discover by taking the risks that you are afraid of. If you fail to succeed learn from it and know there are many other chances to succeed in life. Another Quote from, John F.Kennedy "We should not let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes." This quote means that we should not let what we are afraid of hold us back from what we want to do An example of taking a responsible risk would be to go out for leadership.
You might be afraid to speak in-front of all your friends or just speaking in- front of a lot of people, but if you make the leadership team it is a great reward for conquering your fear. EXAMPLES OF RISK TAKING SKIT
