We investigate two different brands of baked
beans. Baked beans has been being the most convenient and popular must-have items at home. As Hong Kong is being more and more advanced, citizens also become busy all the time. So a convenient food is an essential item for us nowadays. It fills our empty stomaches with good taste and good look.
By comparing two cans of different brands of baked beans, we could be able to know which one is more healthy when we are consumpting

Functions:

Heath Effects:
No known adverse effects, further testing required
Anticaking Agent(E551)
Functions:
to prevent the formation of lumps and for easing packaging, transport, and consumption.
to absorb moisture to prevent powdered or granulate foods from lumping together or caking.
to prevent the breakdown of certain nutrients
Natural anticaking agents used in table salt.
Health effects:
toxic to the body
cause damage to the kidneys, muscles, digestive system and bones.

Modified Starch
Modified starch is essential to, and exemplifies, the world of processed food.
Functions:
to increase the stability against excessive heat, acid, shear, time, cooling, or freezing
to decrease or increase the viscosity
uses as a fat substitute for low-fat versions of traditionally fatty foods.
adds to frozen products to prevent them from dripping when defrosted.

Health effects:
Over time acidity in the system lead to many common, serious health problems.
It enters the blood stream rapidly like sugars
It makes the system acidic when consumed.

(There is a lot of debates concerning about whether modified starch is good or not)

What is Sodium?
In humans, sodium is an essential nutrient that regulates blood volume, blood pressure, osmotic equilibrium and pH.
Sodium, the main constituent of salt.
Which one is healthier?
To make it clear and easy to read, we have make a new form to show the diffeneces between the two brands of baked beans.
Compare with Baked Beans Brand A, Brand B has a higher value in energy, protein, saturated fat, cabohydrates and sodium while Brand A gets 0.1g more than Brand B in sugar and total fat.
Human bodies cannot absolute too much sodium(salt) at once, and the energy of Brand B is higher. Also, too much fat isn't good for our bodies. By comparing both brands of baked beans and the health effects, we conclused that Baked Beans Brand A is healthier than the other one.
