*Destructive forces - just like what they sound like - forces that destroy stuff on Earth, like glaciers
Destructive Forces
Weathering
- the physical breakdown or loosening of rocks, or a chemical change of the minerals in rocks - generally stuff stays put it just gets broken up
Constructive Forces
*Mountain Building Events
- this could be from convergent plate boundaries, folding, uplifting, normal or reverse faults, or other things that cause mountain building events
Glaciers
Volcanoes
Weathering by freezing
Erosion
Earthquakes
Erosion
- occurs when rock, soil, or sediment gets carried away - stuff is moving
Glaciers
- huge ice sheets that "pluck" rocks and also use "abrasion" to cause weathering and erosion
Volcanoes
- Magma from the upper section of the manlte erupts to the surface
Deposition
- sediment from erosion is dropped in a new location
Earthquakes and volcanoes
- magma can melt rocks and landforms, earthquakes can destroy landforms as a result of the shaking

- can cause sections of crust to uplifted , can create faults, etc.
