by Simple Plan Welcome to my life Welcome to my life presentation Poetic devices (sound effects) A recent research confirmed that for teenagers and young adults, suicide comes in 2nd place of death causes, after car accident. In addition, in 2013, up to 10% of boys and 20% of girls, between the age of 12 and 16, have thought about suicide. It has become a society problem and we think that it is crucial to make the others realize the problems that teenagers are confronting. Simple Plan is completely devoted to the teenagers, especially what they're living. They also created a foundation called Simple Plan Foundation to help teens and to condemn the horror of our society. Is no surprise that Welcome to my life is talking about teenage angst, one of the biggest problem of the teenagers. The band use several techniques to make this clear in their song. Before your life is over?
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?

With their big fake smiles and stupid lies
While deep inside you're bleeding Alliterations (continuation) You might think I'm happy but I'm not gonna be okay Everybody always gave you what you wanted
You never had to work it was always there Poetic devices (sound effects) Repetitions:

Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place,

Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room

No, you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
