The driving force of world economy is Capital Movement rather than trade.
Abundance of possible employees.
Health Care and Social Assistance had the largest increase in jobs (5.0 million)
Manufactoring had the largest decrease in jobs (-5.5 million)
Employment in Finance and Insurance jobs increased by 6.5%

From textiles, furniture and tobacco to banking, technology, pharmaceuticals, food processing and motor vehicle parts.
Banking and pharmicuticals have the smallest amount of economic gain, where as food processing and motor vechicle part distribution has increased.
In late 2001 to 2007, North Carolina’s job growth beat national job growth 8 percent to 5.5 percent, meaning that NC growths and changes are above average
ACT WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system that helps employers select, hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performance workforce.
This series of tests measures foundational and soft skills and offers specialized assessments to target institutional needs.
Today, people train while in school or while on the job to gain skills needed in their certain area of occupation
In 2012, about 91 percent of occupations requiring only a high school diploma or equivalent also required on-the-job training and about 45 percent required moderate on-the-job training (1-12 months)
Only 9 percent of occupations requiring a high school diploma did not require on-the-job training
35% of job openings require a bachelors degree
30% of job openings require some college or an associates degree.
People with masters degrees holding positions has risen by 4%, Bachelors: A little bit more than 12%, Associates: nothing, to 19% and down to 17% in 2010.
Fastest growing occupations require high levels of post-secondary education.

Department of Public Instruction and Department of Community Colleges staff analyzed the
occupations, where officials anticipate employees will be in great demand to determine:
what current programs prepare employees to work in these fields
how well Career and Technical Education is meeting the need
and what strategies can be implemented
to improve these efforts.

The NHLBI (national heart, lung and blood institute) provides a training program that supports positions at the institute.
Another trianing program for high school students is held the University of Chicago. This program, the Collegiate Scholars Program, is a three year program that helps students better prepare for the best colleges.
ICC's High School Technical Training Program is a program divided into three parts. In this program, students learn buliding, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical. Students who complete every part of their training, including a final exam recieve a Certifricate of Achievement.
Opportunities for students Citations
To become a Real Estate Broker, you would need certification as a Real Estate agent, but no college degree.
By going to a Trade school, students can usually earn a certification in a certain field, which makes the student more marketable in the job field.
Ex: Welding. Some welding students about to graduate have the opportunity for a payed internship or entry level job.
Some jobs will require a certification within a degree.
Ex: Computer Sciences. If a student is striving for a bachelors in computer science, they will be required to get certified in some Adobe Services/ coding languages.
Getting an adobe certification will help you stand out from other competitors

Recent job growth is at 3.71% in increase compared to the states employment rate of 1.1%
The maufacturing of textile is at it's all time high for North Carolina from Wake county
In January 2014 Wake County had a labor force of 497,753 residents, of those 471,363 were employed and 26,390 residents were unemployed
By 2012, the American Community Survey estimated that (11.6%) Wake County Residents were in poverty (poverty numbers are based on the population within households)
