A 5W poem is a poem that includes the five W's; who, what, when, where, and why.
How to Write a 5W Poem
Write a 5W poem in groups of 2-3
By: Catriona, Jackie, Josephine, Kaitlyn, and Stephanie
Line 1: who is the poem about?
Line 2: what happens in the poem?
Line 3: when does this event take place?
Line 4: where does this event take place?
Line 5: Why does this event occur?
It is a 5 line poem and it does not have to rhyme
Try not to use words such as "because"

to the store,
due to the fact that she wanted to buy candy
A group of laughing children,
Splashing in the water,
On a warm summer day,
Playing in the swimming pool,
Just trying to stay cool.
