The type of work you have to do changes the way people think and live. Its basically the study of the way people think and, act..Psychologists use their understanding to help people with difficulties to change their lives for the better.
For example, If a 14 year old was or is being bullied or abuse he may go into depression. Somehow it will change their life. They will have to see a psychologist so that him or her can help the adolescent with what they need to talk about.
To be a psychologist you must be able to examine information, study attitude and behavior. They also need to watch closely and understand the possible meanings of people's facial expressions, body positions, actions, and interactions, be able to communicate with others well, and have a lot of patience. Clients need to be comfortable about telling you about whats going on in their life. Psychologist will need to build a trusting relationship with the person they will be speaking with.
The high school courses you need to take to be a psychologist is biology, chemistry, English, and basic introduction of psychology. Some college courses you will need to take are the basic one. They are research methodology, scientific domains of psychological inquiry, and core clinical courses in psychopathology, assessment, and psychosocial interventions or in teams developing research questions, designing empirical studies, collecting and analyzing data, writing manuscripts, and presenting scientific papers at national and regional conferences. You need to have a score of 1250 with a GPA average of 3.8. Residency in this field is 5.7 years.

I would want to get a degree in Professional Ethics and Diversity/Culture, and History.
The cost for a whole year is 3,996 in tuition and 22,208 per year. I picked this school because it has a really good medical program, its in Texas and I have heard great thing about it!
There mascot is a reveille and their colors are white and maroon.
A license and certification in psychology is required, 60 graduate semester hours in a school psychology program, a 1,200-hour supervised internship, and to pass the National School Psychology Examination, at least 1 to 2 years of professional experience is also other requirements.
There are different working conditions when being a psychologist it all depends on what type of psychologist you want to be. I want to work with patients its usually in a private office and set my own schedule to schedule with which patient I'm going to meet with a certain day, it is usually on evening and weekends. Some disadvantages of being a psychologist is that 15 to 25 percent are at risk of being assaulted by a patient at some point in their careers, but they usually don't cause any serious physical injury.
The job employment for psychologist will increase 22 percent from 2010 to 2020. There is going to be a greater demand for psychological services in hospitals, schools, social services agencies, and mental health centers. There will be many issues like depression, relationship problems, mental disorders, family problems, and more. That is the reason why psychologist will be needed and a greater demand. There will also be a growth of 35 percent of industrial-organizational psychologist. Over the next ten years there will be only about 800 new jobs. This is all around the U.S.
As a clinical psychologist you will earn an average of 772,540 and the benefit of being one is great too. Want to guess what it is? Its that you get to help people with there problems and make their lives better!
There is a American Psychology Association, International Association for Relationship Research, American Psychological Association of Graduate students, Association for Psychological Science, and many more that can help you on different topics like anxiety, anger, depression, race, etc.
There are others in this field that only do research, are part of a health care team, collaborate with physicians, or are social workers, There are also different types of psychologists. Industrial-Organizational, Clinical, Counseling, and School Psychologists. Similar jobs are Mental health counselors, marriage and family therapist, social workers, and special education teachers.
There are places of employment in hospitals, clinics, correctional facilities, health services, primarily in hospitals, mental health clinics, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and other health facilities.
I would want to be a clinical psychologist, but there are much more advanced opportunities, something higher I can become and that is a Industrial-Organizational Psychologist as a private sector.
