Treasury The Executive Branch executes and enforces laws passed by Congress. Treasury is one of fifteen cabinets of the executive branch. The mission of the treasury is to help the economy develop, prosper and make certain the US and International Financial Systems are sound and secure. The role of the treasury in the US government is to manage government revenue The secretary of Treasury at the moment is Timothy Geithner. He is the Seventy-Fifth Secretary in United States history.
