Transcript of To Kill Mockingbird Boo Radley
Dill said, "It's my idea. I figure if he'd come out and sit a spell with us he might feel better."
"How do you know he don't feel good?"
"Well how'd you feel if you'd been shut up for a hundred years with nothin' but cats to eat?” Bibliography http://www.shmoop.com/to-kill-a-mockingbird/boo-radley.html http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/mocking/characters.html Book "To Kill A Mockingbird" chapters (1, 4,30) "They don’t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That’s why it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird." (Pg 12) "According to Miss Stephanie, Boo was sitting in the living room cutting some items from the Maycomb tribute to paste in his scrapbook. His father entered the room. As Mr Radley passed by, Boo drove the scissors into his parent's leg, pulled them out, wiped them on his pants, and resumed his activities." Ms Stephanie's quote (Pg 52) (Pg 33) "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view-"
"- until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." (Pg 100) At the beginning of the novel Scout and Jem
thought that Boo Radley was a mysterious character and they also feared him because he never came out of his house. All that they knew about Boo was from Ms Stephanie. As the story developed, they began to realize that Boo was actually a kind character, because Jem and Scout found presents in the tree. In the end they realized that Boo was their friend when Bob Ewell tried to kill them and Boo Radley saved their lives. Atticus speaking to Scout he is telling her that she should not judge people because you might be wrong. Also you have to understand what they feel and what had they experienced in their life. That relates to Boo because he had bad experience in his life and now everyone is judging him for that. this quote tells us Jem Dill and Scout are afraid of Boo but they are also feel sorry for him that he was locked up in the house, and they have wild imagination. Boo Radley this quote was by Jem Scout and Dill Before Jem had his pants stuck in the wire so he had to leave it, after when he comes back to get his pants they were folded. Jem did not expect that and his was very surprised of that and the person who folded pants was Boo Radley. it is sin to kill mockingbirds because they are innocent creatures which possible that Boo Radley was locked up in his house for not doing anything. This story is what Miss Stephanie thinks what happened, but nobody knows what really happened to Boo and why he was locked up in the house for many years.
