Newton's 1st Law!!! An object at rest will remain
at rest unless acted upon by an
unbalaced force. This ball is at
rest because the
foot and ground,
acting as forces,
are pushing on it.
Newton's 3rd Law!!! Every action
causes a
reaction, such as
this guy hitting
the ball with his
knee. The ball
bounces back
because the net forces are acting
upon it. The same principle applies to this picture.
The ball will hit the net and bounce back slightly. This ball is in motion. It
will remain in motion unless
acted upon by an unbalanced force. In this case, the girl is the
force that will stop the ball. Newton's 2nd Law!!! This soccer player
is going to kick the ball
to the left. In Newton's 2nd law,
an object will accelerate in the
direction of the force of motion
(wherever you kick the ball, it
will go towards that direction.)
