....In the end it is between Katniss and Peeta... who will win the 74th annual Hunger Games? Something unique about Suzanne Collins is she was
first inspired to write by her English teacher, for introducing her to Edgar Allen Poe stories. Not only was she inspired to write from him, but she was inspired to write The Hunger Games from her father, who lived during the Great Depression, and would go out and hunt animals and find plants to eat. Suzanne Collins has also written a series called The Underland Chronicles, and a book called When Charlie McButton Lost Power.
The other books that are sequels to the Hunger Games are Catching Fire and Mockingjay. Sources Suzanne Collins, author of The Hunger Games, was born on August 10, 1962 in Connecticut. At Alabama's school of Fine Arts, she majored in Theater. This led to her double major in Drama and Communications at Indiana University, where she graduated from. From there, she went on to complete a MFA at New York University for dramatic writing.
