The Periodic Table explains elements and how they work. But how do they get their theories? Lets look outside... BASIC ELEMENTS
Hydrogen, Helium and Lithium are the common elements. If you combined Hydrogen with itself it will create an explosion! Also not to forget Helium. Here is the periodic table. WHAT IS THE PERIODIC TABLE
The periodic table is a table of the chemical elements, showing the symbols for the elements, their full names, their atomic numbers and their mass number. It organizes them into groups and periods (columns and rows) based on their structure and properties. It is called "the periodic table" because the horizontal rows are named "periods". WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Chemists use the periodic table to organize and study elements found in the world. There is it's atomic number above the symbol and its atomic mass below the symbol. The atomic symbol is one or two letters that represent the element. An element's atomic mass is the total mass of protons, neutrons and electrons in a single atom of the element. WHO CREATED THE PERIODIC TABLE?
"Dmitri Mendeleev" invented the periodic table. He didn't have as many elements as the modern day table. This is the original periodic table. BIBLIOGRAPHY
WHY DID HE WANT TO FIND IT?
Because he was creating a book called 'The Principle of Chemistry' and he noticed the pattern in every element. So he made a table called The Periodic Table of Elements. HOW DOES IT BENEFIT US?
The importance of the periodic table is that it provides a way of organizing the elements so that it's possible to make certain predictions about their chemical and physical properties based on their position in the table. This is somewhat less crucial now that we've discovered all the naturally occurring elements, but it was a huge benefit to scientists trying to fill in the gaps. CHANGES TO THE TABLE
Dmitri's table had 60 elements on the first periodic table and now there are 118 with the newest ones appearing in late 2009-early 2010.
