Taylor Swift 2002 March (cc) image by jantik on Flickr Taylor was born December 13, 1989
in Wyommising, Pennsylvania. Birth Taylor has an average size family.
She has her parents and one sibling. Family She was named Taylor by her mother,
because she figured if Taylor takes over in the business
career, no one will know whether she is a boy or girl from her business card. Father- Scott Swift
Mother- Andrea Swift
(younger)Brother- Austin Swift So far, all of the family has gone into business, except Taylor. Childhood Taylor showed a lot of creativity at a young age. When she was little she had no interest in singing... she told MTV, I NEVER stopped talking! She absolutely loved writing! One summer Taylor had wrote a 250 page novel. . . Taylor fist got involved with music in grade school.
Her first CD was LeAnn Rimes Taylor's specific interest in country music
started at 6 years old. Childhood (cont) . Taylor had a lot of free time on her 11-acre
Christmas tree farm. She loved riding the horses . She started out with music by performing in school
musicals. She usually got the
lead because she was so tall. . Taylor says growing up was a lot of fun on that farm... "I had horses and cats, just the little things to keep me satisfied." When Taylor was
4 her mom quit work to stay home with her young daughter. Childhood (Cont) . Taylor and her family
moved to Tennessee when
she was 13, in 2004. . In May 2005, at 14 Taylor signed a publishing deal with Sony Records to be a song writer. Growing up was hard for Taylor, she wasn't really talked to and she didn't have many friends. Childhood Difficulties People made fun of her hair often calling it "Ugly and Frizzy" She could have done drugs and alcohol from being confused and frustrated... but instead she used music. That was her healing process. Middle school was a lonely time for Taylor. Education . Taylor had many friends until her junior high years, that's when she would get ditched and bullied. . Taylor told MTV in 2009, "eventually it got
to the point where my only friends were my guitar,
and my mom of course!" She tried out for many events like: sports, choir, dance, (ect.) to fit in. . Taylor would straighten her hair daily because people would make fun of her! Moved to Nashville when she was
13, and went to school there. That's
where she met her best friend
Abigal. In 2006 she released her first debut single,
"Tim McGraw" which she sang to him at
the 2007 ACM Awards. Career\ Adulthood Awards Won
