What is Ecological Niche?
The relationship between species and the resources, and competitors of the ecosystem. The relationship with an oak tree is that the tree absorbs the sun’s energy, it absorbs the water and minerals around it, the tree provides shelter for other animals and plants, and also gives food for other animals.
What's a invasive species?
A species that is introduced into a new ecosystem where they aren't native to the ecosystem. If an organism that is from North America is introduced into a habitat in Asia, it would be classified as a invasive species because it isn’t native to the habitat.
Invaded locations of the Asian Tiger Mosquito
Throughout the world, this mosquito has infected every continent except Antarctica, mostly transported by international trade through tires, vases, and other containers.

Native Locations of the Asian Tiger Mosquito
The Asian tiger mosquito is native in southern Asia, native to many countries such as China,Vietnam,Laos,Thailand,Cambodia,Malaysia,Indonesia,India,Pakistan, Bangladesh,Sri Lanka, South Korea, Japan and small parts of Nepal

Exotic species threaten biodiversity because once an exotic species is introduced into a new habitat it can have devastating affects on the environment. If an organism once introduced completely eliminates a type of species, another type could be completely dependent on it. Therefore can eliminate that species as well. Many species can be become endangered due to these exotic species. For example in the 16th century where goats were introduced to North America, half of the affected lands of plant species went extinct.
Exotic Species are successful in their new ecosystem due to many reasons, one being that most of the time they have no natural predators in their ecosystem, so they do not have to worry about Predators. If the species can spread quickly and effectively, it can make a very great exotic species as well. Ecological niche could affect exotic species as well, since in the new habitat they’re might be more resources than in their native habitat.
Impacts on North America
The Asian Tiger Mosquito doesn’t carry many impacts to others because its very similar to the common mosquito, it has many predators hunting this mosquito. Although the mosquito transmits many very deadly diseases such as Chikungunya, West Nile Disease, and Malaria.
