Rehabilitation Act passed into law, preventing discrimination against those individuals classified as learning disabled.
Xavier begins providing services to students with disabilities.
Learning Assistance opened in Kuhlman Hall.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) passed into law.
ADA compliance required from all federally funded educational institutions.
LAC tutoring program begins for students with disabilities.
Tutoring opened to all students at Xavier. Only 4 tutors were employed!
Study Groups formally organized through the LAC.
Study skills program begins.
Structured Study Groups begin for General Chemistry and General Biology.
Supplemental Instruction (SI) format adopted for General Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry.
