Sugar Act
The Sugar Act also known as the American Revenue Act or the American Duties Act, was a revenue-raising act passedby the Parliament of Great Britain on April 5, 1764 to pay for the war depbt brought on by the French and Idian war to help pay for the expenses of running the colonies and acquired territories. This act also increased the dutied on sugar and other items. Stamp Act 1964 1965 Stamp Act was a direct tax imposed by the British Parliament specifically on the colonies of British America. The Townshend Acts were a series of laws passed beginning in 1767 by the Parliament of Great Britain relating to the British colonies in North America. Imposing new series of taxes on the colonists to pay for costs of administaring and protecting American colonies .
