Virginia was found in 1607 by John Smith. Virginia was founded by a Virginian Company and set out to establish a permanent English settlement in the New Americas. When Virginia was made it was to be considered a Royal settlement.
One of the 13 original colonies Virginia was the first part of the country, that was permanently settled by the English. Who established Jamestown the banks of James River in 1607, it became the capitol of the confederacy.
Today many government institutions are headquartered in Virginia. Particularly in Arlington. Located across the Potemac river Washington D.C. In addition to eight presidents.
People that live in Virginia
One type of group is English settlers. Most of the people were English.
Merchants was another group that was after they settled Virginia.
The last group was slaves. African Americans worked they because they were taken from South America.
Some types of economy are farmers that live there. They farm all the food and goods needed for the economy.
Next in the economy is blacksmiths. Blacksmiths make all the tools and or items for the economy.
Finally the warriors of the group in the economy. They are the men who help defend the colony.

Settlers in Virginia were William Kelso, John White and others that were settlers in Virginia.
Founder of Virginia
The founder of Virginia was a man names John Smith. It was founded in 1607. He led an exploration along the rivers of Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay. He was the first English explorer to map the Chesapeake Bay area and New England.
Religion in Virginia
Many of the people's religion was mainly Christian. If the people or Pilgrims voted you should have religious freedom then they could be what they want.
