Bruce Lee Who is Bruce Lee? Born in San Fransisco in November 1940, he was the son of a famous Chinese opera singer.
He was born in the United States, but he was raised in Hong Kong. He was a troubled child who constantly got himself into fights. Growing Up He found that martial arts was a good way of discplining himself. Bruce was a martial arts student of the famous Yip Man who taught him the basic skills of Wing Chun, but it was not long until he was a master. Why Lee was a Hero As an exceptioinal martial artist, Bruce Lee sparked a new style of fighting in martial arts films.

In 1963, one of Bruce's students brought her friend, Linda Emery, to his class. Bruce and Linda met and they started to date, and then got married. In America at the time of Bruce's prime, people were still stereotypical of Asians, but that didn't stop Bruce from breaking the barrier. Bruce's Early Motion Pictures:
The Big Boss (1971) was released in the U.S. as "Fists of Fury"
Fist of Fury (1971) was released in the U.S. as "The Chinese Connection"
Way of The Dragon (1972) was released in U.S. as "Return of the Dragon"
Bruce's most famous movie is "Enter the Dragon" (1973), and this movie is still considered the best martial arts film of all time. During the last take of Enter the Dragon, the building they were filming in had no air conditioning and was very hot. Bruce was exhausted so he went to the bathroom, he then fainted and collapsed. It was believed that this was caused from cerebral edema. His friend gave him a strong asprin pill perscribed by her doctor. Bruce then went to sleep, and he never woke up. Family He created a new style of martial arts and life philosophy called Jeet Kune Do. Bruce and Linda had two kids: first Brandon Lee and then Shannon Lee. Bruce Lee was dead at the age of 32 in the year 1973. How Lee Died "The Game of Death," a movie Lee was working on, came out after his death. Many different kinds of people have tried to replace Bruce Lee, but none have been successful.
