Basic Rules & Courtesy
Be polite - use appropriate language & tone
Use neutral email address
Address people politely & appropriately
DO NOT use all capital letters
DO NOT use too many question or exclamation marks
Whatever happens, DO NOT leave the body blank
DO NOT put body in attachment
The Format
Subject: short and accurate
Salutation: proper
Introduction: introduce yourself if necessary & state your purpose of writing
Body: write the actual message
Leave-taking: use correct form
Signature: full name + contact + other relevant information

Before sending, make sure you:

Proofread your message for grammar, spelling, punctuation
