The Noughties was a decade in witch a lot of interesting events happened. There were happy events such as the 2008 summer olympics. There were some difficult times, for example, the September 11 attacks but the dacade was still great.
There were many tragic, difficult events like September 11 attacks when two planes were hijacked by terrorists and crashed into The World Trade Center killing 2996 people, the Gaza War- a three-week armed conflict between Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and Israel in 2008-2009, 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami-the third largest earthquake ever recorded on a seismograph, one of the deadliest natural disasters in recorded history, deaths of Michael Jackson in 2009 and Pope John Paul II in 2005.
There was a lot of good music as well. Most popular genres of music were Rap, Hip Hop, Rock, Pop. There were a lot of famous artists, bands, for instance, Jay-Z, OutKast, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Beyonce, Robbie Williams, Michael Jackson, Arctic Monkeys. In films there was the highest-grossing film-Avatar(2009), the most expensive film ever made-Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End(2007) and the highest-grossing film series-Harry Potter.
By the end of the decade, the world had changed. People were more aware of things like disasters, wars, climate changes, human rights and inventions like Facebook, smartphones, GPS, tablets have changed the world.
Fashions were bright, interesting and they were changing really fast. Clothes like crow tops, low-rise pants, skinny jeans were popular. Hip Hop style was really popular. Glasses without lenses became popular. Hairstyles for men were spiked, bleached and for women long hair was popular.
