Claude Monet by Nick V.
Transcript of Claude Monet by Nick V.
Water Lilies and Agapanthus
I chose the painting Water Lilies and Agapanthus because last year we went to the Cleveland Museum of Art and I saw this painting. Claude was inspired for painting this picture because it was part of his lily pond he had outside his house.
The Japanese Footbridge
View from Rouelles
I chose the painting View from Rouelles because it was Claude Monets first painting of his career. His inspiration for painting View from Roelles was that he was walking by looking for good views for paintings, and then he saw it and immediately started to paint.
Claude Monet Self-Portrait
I chose this painting because this was Claude Monets only self-portrait. He wanted to paint this painting so people in the future could recognize him by this.
I chose this painting because it is one of Claude Monets most recognizable paintings. He was inspired to paint this when he visited his home town and thought to make a series of paintings of the city.
I chose this painting by Claude Monet because this was his very last painting before he died. Claude Monet painted this because it was part of a series of the same picture, but different style.
