What makes us different
The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated was organized May 10, 1930 on the campus of Howard University during the time when African American students were deprived of the civil liberties that other students were given.
"We are not social organizations, but progressive ones"
Our Founding
RECRUITMENT/RUSH
NPHC and its member chapters do not hold a formal recruitment period similar to the Panhellenic and Interfraternity Councils. Each chapter conducts its own intake/recruitment process under the guidance of their inter/national headquarters and the UNT Greek Life office.
NPHC IS A LIFELONG, FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
There is a lifelong commitment to our organizations. Members choosing to join these organizations know full well that upon graduation they will be expected to remain active within the organization on the local/regional/state/national level.
