Slim Dusty
SlJoy McKean and with her help, achieved great success around Australia.im Dusty was born in the 13 June 1927 and died on the 19 September 2003. Slim Dusty was a legendary Australian country music singer. Slim was known to record songs in the legacy of Australian poets Henry Lawson and Banjo Patterson, that represented the Australian Bush Lifestyle, and also for his many trucking Songs.
Slim adopted the name Slim Dusty when he was eleven years old. Slim’s original name was David Gordon Kirkpatrick .
Cathy Freeman is the first aboriginal Australian who won in the athletics in the Olympics.
Cathy Freeman was born on the 16 February 1973 in Slade Point Mackay, Queensland.
Cathy freeman is significant because she was the first aborigine to represent Australia in the athletics in the olympics
Cathy freeman's childhood. Cathy Freeman also changed the way of people thinking about aboriginals.
Cathy Freeman started with a rough life and treated badly like all the other aboriginals but ended up as a hero to Australia.
Melbourne Cup is a day when many people from allover the world bring all their horses to Flemington Racecourse to race.
Melbourne Cup is celebrated on the first Tuesday of November. The first Melbourne Cup was held in 1861.
Melbourne Cup is not only about horse racing but to some people Melbourne Cup is a fashion day. the distance of the Racecourse is 3200 metres. Australian Identity 2000 Olympics
The 2000 was held in Australia, Sydney. The Sydney 2000 Olympics was held on the 16th September till the 1st October 2000.
