M-commerce refers to e-commerce that takes place on a mobile device.

Definition: Sale of goods and services to the general public
Example: Customers can buy a computer
directly from a website instead of going to a store.
System software consists of programs that control or maintain the operations of the computer and its device.
Customers visit online stores through an electronic storefront that contains descriptions of different products/services, graphics, and a shopping cart, which allows the customer to make purchases.
Customer-To-Customer (C2C) E-Commerce
Customers can purchase from each other.
Example: A customer holds an online auction on eBay.
Example: One customer sells something to another customer on eBay.
Business-to-Business (B2B) E-Commerce
Businesses provide goods and services to other businesses.
Example: MasterCard companies provide other corporations with Internet purchasing, tracking, and transaction downloading abilities.
