Russian cuisine uses fish, poultry, mushrooms, berries, honey.
Crops of rye, wheat, barley provide ingredients for many breads, pancakes, cereals, beers, and Vodka, and Kvas
Flavorful soups and stews include shche (cabbage soup), borsh (beat soup), solyanka, and okroshka
Smetana (heavy salad cream) is often added to soups and salads
Cutlets and pelmeni are popular meat dishes
Educational System
Education in Russia is organized by the state, which ensures that general education is free and available to everyone.
Some private schools have been established in the recent years
Education usually begins before the age of 6
Education is comprised of 3 stages: Primary Ed. (4 years)

Secondary Education (2-3 years)
New Years is by far the BIGGEST celebration in Russia
They prepare several days (weeks) in advance. There is a belief that how you celebrate the New Year will determine how you will fare in the remainder of that year.

Banya (Russian type of sauna) is one of the oldest traditions. Despite that this tradition is several centuries old, it is still popular today

Sarafan and Kokoshnik for women, with Lapti and valenki as common shoes
