Fact or Opinion You be the judge Why is it important to be able to evaluate between a fact and an opinion? What is a fact? A fact is something that can be proven to be true. What is an opinion? An opinion is based on SOMEONES feelings, thinking, or understanding about a subject. It may or may not be true. A fact can be proven from such sources as a history book, statistics, govermental law, measurment, and so on... Certain words are clues that an opinion is being made. For example: Maybe Perhaps Best/worst I think..., I believe..., I feel... apparently Do you think you can seperate fact from opinion? You be the judge: fact or opinion 1.
