Kayla Watanabe Early Life Death In 1968 Valerie Solanas attempted to kill Warhol and the curator of his art studio after a misunderstanding about a misplaced movie script. Warhol's injuries affected him the rest of his life. ATTEMPTED MURDER!!! RANDOM FACT: Warhol owned over forty wigs. A NY wig-maker sewed them from hair imported from Italy. When a girl snatched his wig at a book-signing, Warhol noted in his diary, ‘I don’t know what held me back from pushing her over the balcony.’ When Warhol died the band reunited and wrote an album entitled, Songs for Drella, a tribute to Warhol. "Once you 'got' Pop, you could never see a sign again the same way again. And once you thought Pop, you could never see America the same way again." -Warhol Random fact: Warhol had a foot fetish. OTHER WORKS Warhol also published books and produced movies. Movie poster for 1963 film "Sleep" in which a man was shown sleeping for 5 hours.
