Low interest in life

5.7 million 2.6% of adult americans have BPD
the age that signs are shown is 25 but it can show as early as early teenage years or as late as 40's to 50's

Treatment of BPD
Patient-to-patient support group raised treatment willingness by 86% and reduced hospitalization.
With treatment BPD suffers say they have a much more positive outlook on their illness
There is no cure. Treatment usually means that episodes are shorter or may be prevented.
Almost half of the BPD suffers who recovered still had lingering symptoms.
Medicines that aim to prevent episodes of mania, hypomania and depression are called mood stabilizers.
