Transcript of John Adams

When John Adams was a president he had problems with the relations with France. He also was the first president to live in the white house. John Adams birthday was October 19th. He wanted to make peace with the French Government. This decision angered Thomas Jefferson. It would cost John Adams his next election. In 1796 Adams ran as a Federalist against democratic- republican Thomas Jefferson. John had trouble with Thomas Jefferson. Vice President Jefferson wanted to help the French people with their war. John wanted to help the people in France from starving to death because the king would not feed them without bunches of money. Why did John leave office?
Because he lost Thomas Jefferson.
What did he do after leaving office?
John went home with his wife Abigail to Braintree,
